Texel rating for open cats

The Texel Rating system was developed in the 80’s in the Netherlands for the famous Round about Texel race. Since then sailing in multihulls has changed but the purpose is still the same.

The purpose of this rating is to enable multihulls of various classes to race together. To keep development under control but making research possible.

Over time the Texel Rating formula’s were altered slightly between the small open cats and the larger cabin multihulls.
